Template:Species-infobox Ball Beamers are mechanical enemies that appear in Super Mario Galaxy. There are two types of Ball Beamers; one with a nut on top of it, and another with a bolt. They appear on opposite sides of spherical planets, and both send out circular shockwaves that damage Mario if he makes contact with them.

History

Super Mario Galaxy

Ball Beamers appear in Super Mario Galaxy, featuring in the Buoy Base Galaxy and the Deep Dark Galaxy. They are immobile enemies that emit circular shockwaves that travel around the circumference of the planet, damaging Mario if he touches them. The bolt-type Ball Beamers can be unscrewed by Mario which opens up the inside of the planet they are stationed on, while the nut-type ones are unable to be damaged by normal means.
