In both of the aforementioned games, Clapper appears in only two levels: "[[Lava Lagoon]]" and "[[Clapper's Cavern]]". In "Lava Lagoon", Clapper appears throughout the level to aid [[Diddy]] and [[Dixie Kong]] by using his breath to briefly cool down the boiling hot water in the level, thus making it safe to swim through. In "Clapper's Cavern", Clapper once again uses his breath abilities to aid the heroes. Here, Clapper can briefly freeze the water in the level so that the Kongs can walk on it, keeping them safe from the [[Snapjaw (fish)|Snapjaw]] piranha below the surface of the water.

Clapper has big white eyes with black pupils and two fins and a tail. Like most seals, Clapper has whiskers on each side of his tan face. There is six whiskers in all on his face. On his tan face, Clapper has a small black nose.

Clapper the Seal is an Animal Buddy in the Donkey Kong series who first appeared in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest.

In Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2, Clapper can cool down or freeze water with his breath if the Kongs jump on him; this allows the Kongs to swim past boiling parts of water or to walk on top of the ice.
