Clapper, also written as Klapper,[1] is an Animal Friend who first appears in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. Clapper got his name from the popular depiction of seals clapping with their flippers, which he himself does in the games. He has silver fur, large eyes, and a tan snout with a black nose and five whiskers on each side. His hind two flippers somewhat resemble a fluked whale tail. A character resembling Clapper, named Seal, later appears in Donkey Kong 64.

Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest[edit]
In Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, Clapper always sits next to a body of water, making a stock seal sound effect every few seconds.
