The title of this article is conjectural; an official name for the article's subject has not been found, so it has been given a fitting title by the editors. If an official name is found, then the article should be moved to its appropriate title.
Spiky Piranha Plants are sub-species of Super Piranha Plant in the game Super Mario Galaxy 2. They resemble giant black Piranha Plants covered in red spikes, and they act like Prickly Piranha Plants. There is only one of these enemies in the entire game, and it's encountered in the Sky Station Galaxy during the "Storming the Sky Fleet" mission.
This enemy holds a key to the locked up Power Star nearby. It attacks in the same way as its spikeless purple variant; slamming its head onto the ground. However, the player can't jump on it, due to its spikes, so he or she will need to use the nearby Stretch Plant to defeat it by hiting it's Head when it is down with the Stretch Plant.
