Fluzzard is a bird character that appears in Super Mario Galaxy 2. He appears in Wild Glide Galaxy and Fleet Glide Galaxy. In Super Mario Galaxy 2, Mario is holds onto Fluzzard just like how he did with Hoot in Super Mario 64. He is used to fly through two levels and Jibberjays give Mario the star for making Fluzzard happy. Fluzzard has to race the Jibberjays if Mario recieves a letter about it beforehand. Players must control Fluzzard by pointing the Wii Remote in the direction they want to go. Pointing it upwards makes Fluzzard slow down and gain minimal height. Pointing it downwards makes the bird make a fast nose-dive.
