Toadiko
Toadiko is a pink-capped Toad and one of Princess Peach's attendants. During the events of Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, Toadiko accompanied Peach on her visit to the Mushroom Kingdom of the past in Professor E. Gadd’s time machine. Unfortunately, Toadiko and Peach visit during the Shroob invasion of the kingdom and were captured by the mushroom aliens. While Peach was imprisoned, Toadiko was sent to the Toadwood Forest and strapped to a vim-draining tree. When the Mario bros. of past and present arrived in the forest, they discovered Toadiko’s near-lifeless body. With much of her vim drained, Toadiko had very little stamina left. However, she managed to reveal to the four Mario brothers that Peach was captured by the Shroobs, and that the Shroobs were draining the vim from Toads to use as fuel for their flying saucers. Unfortunately, the Shroobs overheard the conversation. As such, a Shroob UFO arrived and shot an energy blast at Toadiko, turning the Toad into Shrooboid mushrooms. Toadiko's last words to the Mario brothers are "Gather... shards..." refering to Cobalt Star Shards. As Kylie Koopa and Toadbert were revived from their fate as Shrooboid mushrooms, it is likely that Toadiko was as well. Fans of Toadiko should note that the game didn't spell out the fate of Toadbert beyond his revival, so it is possible that E. Gadd brought them both back to the present on his round trip from returning Baby Mario and Baby Luigi to the past.
