A '''Star Candy''' is a rare item found in ''[[Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story]]'' and its remake, ''[[Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey]]''. It can be used by [[Mario]], [[Luigi]], or [[Bowser]] (in the original game). This item restores 999 [[Heart Point|HP]] and [[Special Point|SP]] and cures all status ailments, making it the strongest consumable item in the game. [[Dark Mechawful]]s have a chance of dropping Star Candies. It is also rewarded if the [[Bros. Attack|Special Attack]] [[Mighty Meteor]] is executed perfectly.


The only exception is that an enemy ([[Dark Mechawful]]) can drop it so Mario and Luigi can have an infinite amount of Star Candies, while there are only 5 Golden Mushrooms in ''Superstar Saga'' (without cheats or glitches). It may also be given to the Bros. if the Special Attack [[Mighty Meteor]] is executed perfectly.  
[[Max Candy|Max Candies]] in ''[[Mario & Luigi: Dream Team]]'' and ''[[Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam]]'' function similarly, but they do not cure status ailments. [[Cheesy Drumstick]]s in ''Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey'' also function similarly, though they can only be used by Bowser.


In ''[[Mario & Luigi: Dream Team]]'', it's just referred to as '''Candies''' of varying potency. Candies heal 40% of Mario and Luigi's maximum HP and [[Bros. Point|BP]], Super Candies heal 60%, Ultra Candies heal 80% and Max Candies heal 100%.

*While the Candies in ''Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story'' restore all HP and SP, the Candies in ''Mario & Luigi: Dream Team'' vary because their are 4 types of Candies; "Candy", "Super Candy", "Ultra Candy", and "Max Candy", even though it's still the same candy. The types restoring are; "A bit", "A decent amount", "A solid chunk", and the Max Candy acts like a Candy from ''Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story''.

Star Candy Sprite of a Star Candy from Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey

A Star Candy is a rare item found in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and its remake, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey. It can be used by Mario, Luigi, or Bowser (in the original game). This item restores 999 HP and SP and cures all status ailments, making it the strongest consumable item in the game. Dark Mechawfuls have a chance of dropping Star Candies. It is also rewarded if the Special Attack Mighty Meteor is executed perfectly.

Max Candies in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team and Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam function similarly, but they do not cure status ailments. Cheesy Drumsticks in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey also function similarly, though they can only be used by Bowser.
