Template:Species-infobox The heading variety of Pokeys[1] are enemies in the Yoshi's Island series. They are small green cactuses with a face that bounce a Needlenose on their head.
History
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island / Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3
They first appear in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. If Yoshi defeats the Needlenose on its head, the Pokey frowns and lies down, becoming harmless. However, it produces another Needlenose shortly afterwards. Pokeys cannot be defeated, with the exception of an Anywhere POW.
Yoshi's New Island
This variety of Pokey reappears in Yoshi's New Island, alongside normal Pokeys, where they only appear in Underground Pokey Patrol. They act the same as previously.
