Dr. Toadley

Doctor Toadley is a Toad that appears in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. He resides in Toad Town in the Toadley Clinic.

He is first mentioned during a meeting held in Princess Peach's Castle, where he is going to discuss the blorbs, but he is too busy helping patients afflicted with the blorbs, so instead he sends his intern to the castle in his stead.

Later in the game, Mario and Luigi go to see him for help. But there isn't anything that Dr. Toadley can do other than tell the two brothers about the Star Cures and disclose their location. He tells the brothers that the first Star Cure is in Dimble Wood, held by the sage, Durmite. However, the two brothers remember defeating Durmite already inside Bowser, and go off to find the Star Cure.

Later in the game, Dr. Toadley uses telepathy to talk to Mario and Luigi, but instead appears before Bowser. Dr. Toadley knows that the two brothers are inside Bowser, and so tells Bowser and the party inside of him that the second Star Cure is located in Bowser's Castle, while informing Bowser that Mario and Luigi already have the first Star Cure.

After obtaining the second Star Cure, Mario and Luigi make their way back to Toadley Clinic, where Dr. Toadley tells them the location of the third and final Star Cure, which is high up in the air above Plack Beach. But before the brothers leave, Dr. Toadley wants to check on Mario and Luigi's breathing before going up into thinner air. Mario passes, and after Luigi fails, he tries again, this time breathing so hard he blows wind through all of the vents in the clinic, and even through vents located at various places throughout the Mushroom Kingdom. After testing, Dr. Toadley allows Mario and Luigi to get the final Star Cure, and begins fixing the machine that the brothers breathed into.

After Mario and Luigi manage to get the third and final Star Cure, they once again return to Toadley Clinic to see Dr. Toadley. Once they arrive, Dr. Toadley takes the three Star Cures and morphs them together to create the Miracle Cure, which Mario and Luigi need to access Princess Peach's Castle. But before the brothers can leave, Dr. Toadley uses the Miracle Cure to cure the blorbs. He then presents Mario and Luigi with ten clinic Attack Pieces, which allows the two to learn the Special Move Mighty Meteor.

• Dr. Toadley, from the back, slightly resembles Merluvlee from Super Paper Mario.
• Dr. Toadley has a tendency to answer his own questions ("Is this good timing? It is.").
