Not to be confused with Boss Blitz Galaxy.

Boss Blitz, or World Flower-12, is the final course of World Flower in Super Mario 3D World. The stage consists of boss battle rematches with King Ka-Thunk, Pom Pom, King and Queen Hisstocrat, Boss Brolder, Boom Boom, and Motley Bossblob. It is unlocked via completion of Spiky Spike Bridge Sneak. Beating this level will unlock the rocket to World Crown if the player has collected all of the Green Stars, Stamps, and Gold flags in the game, excluding those of World Crown. This is the only level in both World Mushroom and World Flower that is not remade from an existing level.

Layout

The course begins on a grassy platform with five Warp Boxes and one locked Warp Box. Each Warp Box leads to a boss fight, with a Key Coin awarded if the boss is defeated. The bottom left box leads to King Ka-Thunk, the top left leads to Pom Pom, the top right leads to Boss Brolder, the bottom right leads to Boom Boom, and the center box leads to Hisstocrat and Queen Hisstocrat. All boss battles are fought in the same manner as they originally are, with the exception of King and Queen Hisstocrat, as they are fought at the same time. After all the Key Coins are collected, the unlocked Warp Box leads to the sixth and final boss fight of the level: Motley Bossblob. Upon his defeat, a Warp Box appears, leading to the Goal Pole.

Because the players are only given 500 seconds to defeat all the bosses, this course can be very difficult to complete if the players cannot defeat each boss very quickly, hence the name "Boss Blitz."

Green Stars

  • Green Star 1: Appears after Boss Brolder is defeated.
  • Green Star 2: Appears after King and Queen Hisstocrat are defeated.
  • Green Star 3: Appears after Motley Bossblob is defeated.

Enemies

Trivia

  • When the player gets close to the level via the overworld, Bowser's laugh can be faintly heard.
  • In "Super Mario Galaxy 2", a galaxy of the same name is alike to this level as it pits Mario against past enemies.
    • One notable thing is that all the bosses in the galaxy are from "Super Mario Galaxy 2's prequel", but only two bosses from this game's prequel (who even appeared in a few castles themselves in this game) show up in this level.
