Jumping[1] is a recurring sound effect that originally plays in Super Mario World when Mario, Luigi or Yoshi jumps, and is used for the same purpose in most later games.

Super Mario World marks the first appearance of "Jumping". It is also featured in the Super Mario World album.

Super Mario Advance series[edit]

Super Mario Advance has a higher-pitched and slightly lower quality arrangement of "Jumping". Arrangements similar to this one appear throughout the Super Mario Advance series, though the sound differs slightly between games.

New Super Mario Bros.[edit]

New Super Mario Bros. features a faithful arrangement of "Jumping", which once again plays whenever Mario or Luigi jumps.

In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, a unique arrangement of "Jumping" can play when Mario, Luigi, and the Toads jump. Additionally, a new arrangement can play when the characters jump in Mini form.

In Paper Mario: Sticker Star, an arrangement of "Jumping" plays whenever Mario jumps.

Paper Mario: The Origami King[edit]

In Paper Mario: The Origami King, an arrangement of "Jumping" similar to the previous two games in the series plays when Mario jumps.

Mario Party: Island Tour[edit]

In Mario Party: Island Tour, the New Super Mario Bros. Wii arrangement of "Jumping" plays whenever the player or a CPU character jumps on the board or during a Minigame.
