Mermushrooms are a type of species introduced in the Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode "Mario of the Deep". Mermushrooms are a connection of mermaids and Toads. Their bodies are a mermaid's bodies and their heads are Toad heads (complete with the Toad Cap).
Mermushrooms were being attacked by Barra-Koopa, Clawgrip and Bloobers during the episode until Mario and Luigi came and Barra-Koopa was defeated and let the Mermushrooms be free. The leader of the Mermushrooms is King Neptune.
