"Aquatic Ambiance" is a theme composed by David Wise and heard in certain underwater levels in the Donkey Kong Country games. It is heard in all underwater levels of Donkey Kong Country and its Game Boy Advance port: Coral Capers, Clam City, Croctopus Chase, and Poison Pond.

Arrangements
Donkey Kong Land
Due to the hardware limitations of the Game Boy, Donkey Kong Land features a heavily chiptune arrangement of "Aquatic Ambiance" in Reef Rampage and Nautilus Chase. This arrangement is also included in the Game Boy Color port of Donkey Kong Country.

Donkey Kong Country series
Donkey Kong Country 3
In Donkey Kong Country 3 (the Game Boy Advance remake of Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!) an arranged version of "Aquatic Ambiance" plays in the opening cutscene as well as the title screen.

Donkey Kong Country Returns
In Donkey Kong Country Returns and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, an arrangement (titled "Aquatic Ambiance Returns" in the music gallery) plays while riding the whale in Blowhole Bound.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
In Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, an arrangement (titled "Mangrove Cove Underwater" in the music menu) plays during the underwater section of Mangrove Cove. Another arrangement can be heard in the underwater section of Trunk Twister.

A third arrangement, this time sounding closer to the original arrangement and also titled "Aquatic Ambiance Returns" in the music menu, plays in the deeper underwater section of Deep Keep, the entire underwater section of Current Capers, and the entirety of Shoal Atoll.

A fourth arrangement combining this theme with "Lockjaw's Saga" from Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest can be heard in the underwater sections of Irate Eight and Rockin' Relics.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
A fifth arrangement plays in the underwater sections of Panicky Paddles.

"Aquatic Ambience"

"Aquatic Ambiance" in Donkey Kong Country
Composed by:
David Wise
First appearance Donkey Kong Country (1994)
Latest appearance Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (Nintendo Switch) (2018)

"Aquatic Ambiance"[1] is a theme composed by David Wise and heard in certain underwater levels in the Donkey Kong Country games.

A fifth arrangement plays in the underwater sections of Panicky Paddles.
