"Bonus Game BGM"[1] is a musical theme composed by Koji Kondo for Super Mario World, where it plays in the bonus game minigame, Switch Palaces, and 1-Up Rooms. It is a playful arrangement of "Ground BGM" from the same game in the key of F major.

In Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2, the Game Boy Advance remake of Super Mario World, an arrangement of "Bonus Game BGM" plays in the bonus game minigame, Switch Palaces, and 1-Up Rooms, just like the original game.

In Super Mario Galaxy, an arrangement of "Bonus Game BGM" plays when collecting the notes in the Deep Dark Galaxy secret room in the mission "Bubble Blastoff." This arrangement returns in Super Mario Galaxy 2, where it plays when collecting the notes in the Puzzle Plank Galaxy, and Super Mario 3D Land for several sets of notes.
Super Mario Odyssey[edit]
In Super Mario Odyssey, an arrangement of "Bonus Game BGM" arranged by Shiho Fujii, titled "Above the Clouds" in the game's Music List and the Nintendo Music app, plays in some challenge areas.

In Super Mario Bros. Wonder, after clearing the course Break Time! Wonder Token Tunes, the ending thirteen notes of "Bonus Game BGM" are played on the glockenspiel as coins appear at the corresponding note positions on the staff, with the final note being a Wonder Seed.

In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, a medley arrangement of "Ground BGM," "Bonus Game BGM," "Course Clear," and "Star World (Map Screen)" from Super Mario World, as well as "Ground BGM" and "Invincibility BGM" from Super Mario Bros., titled "Super Mario World Medley" and arranged by Hiroshi Okubo, can play in the Yoshi's Island and Super Mario Maker stages. This arrangements returns in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, where it can play in any Super Smash Bros.-series and Super Mario-series stage.
