—Royal bus driver, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars

The royal bus or just the bus is the method of transport for the royalty of Nimbus Land in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. It consists of a vehicle loosely based on Lakitu's Cloud with a kart-like form. Its wheels resemble Lakitu shells. It has a pickup bed, where the passengers take a seat. The driver in charge appears to be a large Lakitu with a blue hat and a mustache who follows the orders of King Nimbus and Queen Nimbus.

History

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars

When Mario and Mallow first arrive at Nimbus Land, at the bus stop a Nimbus informs them that the bus is currently in the garage. After defeating the Czar Dragon and the Axem Rangers, and recovering the sixth Star Piece, when Mario and Mallow return to Nimbus Land to inform Mallow's parents, they allow them to use the royal bus to get to Bowser's Castle, and both order the bus to be repaired before Mallow and Mario leave. When the players return to the bus stop and talk to the Nimbus again, he will inform them that the bus is now fixed and operating again. The royal bus and its driver then appear, after the Nimbus asks how the motor is working, and the Lakitu driver informs him that it is functioning . He asks the driver to take Mario and Mallow to Bowser's Castle, which the driver accepts. After Mario and Mallow take a seat, the driver then takes them to the castle where the characters get off the bus. The royal bus is then not seen for the rest of the game.
