The Super Mario Bros. Paint 'n' Marker Books are a line of coloring books released by Western Publishing under the Little Golden Books label, based on the Super Mario franchise. Only two books were released for the series: the first in 1989 and the second in 1993.[1][3] The first release is based on the original Super Mario Bros., with the second title being based on the live-action film. The 1989 release features various pages to color featuring Mario, Toads, Princess Toadstool, the Mushroom King, and various enemies. The coloring book based on the film features various scenes from the film recreated in drawing. The 1989 and 1993 books reuse the drawings from the first Super Mario Bros.: A Color/Activity Book and Super Mario Bros.: A Coloring Book respectively.
A Spanish translation of the 1989 book exists, released by Fernandez Editores in 1994 under the Ilac Pintodo Premiere label and bearing a larger version of the book's cover.[2]
Little Golden Books also released lines of Super Mario activity and sticker books: Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. Sticker Fun.
