History[edit]

Donkey Kong Country television series[edit]

"Barrel, Barrel... Who's Got the Barrel"[edit]

The first appearance of Eddie on the show was in "Barrel, Barrel... Who's Got the Barrel". In this episode, Bluster Kong steals the Crystal Coconut in an attempt to impress Candy Kong and promptly loses it in a barrel which is shipped to Funky's Flights. Funky takes the barrel on board his plane and ends up losing it in the White Mountains, where it is found by Eddie. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong come looking for the coconut and discover Eddie bashing it with his club; they then trade him a matchstick for it and leave. Due to complications involving Bluster Kong and General Klump, the Kongs end losing the coconut once more and it briefly returns to Eddie's possession before it is taken by some Kritters and given to King K. Rool. In the end, the Kongs eventually reclaim the coconut. Eddie shows up at Cranky's cabin and causes a ruckus.

"Cranky's Tickle Tonic"[edit]

In the episode "Cranky's Tickle Tonic", Eddie's loud banging of his club causes all the inhabitants of Kongo Bongo Island to be unable to sleep. To stop him, Cranky Kong and Funky Kong create a potion which gives Eddie a case of the chuckles, although King K. Rool (having come up the mountain to shut Eddie up himself) consumes the tonic instead. King K. Rool's laughing manages to cheer Eddie up and he stops banging his club.

"I Spy With My Hairy Eye"[edit]

The subsequent episodes have Eddie make minor appearances in the show. In "I Spy With My Hairy Eye", Eddie falls in love with K. Rool's Candy Clone, and it is revealed that the raging responsible for his club-banging stems from loneliness.

"Ape-Nesia"[edit]

“Club! Club gone! Eddie club gone! Thieve leave! Thieve leave! Thieve leave snack!”
Eddie the Mean Old Yeti, "Ape-Nesia"

Eddie briefly appears in the episode "Ape-Nesia" where he is seen complaining after an amnesia-struck Donkey Kong stole his favorite club, leaving only a banana.

"The Big Chill Out"[edit]

In the episode "The Big Chill Out", Eddie is shown to be an employee for Donkey Kong's and Diddy Kong's Coconut Chill business.

"Hooray for Holly-Kongo Bongo"[edit]

In the episode "Hooray for Holly-Kongo Bongo", after Donkey Kong gets accused of stealing the Crystal Coconut, he gets sent to the White Mountains. DK is upset because he knows he "wouldn't hurt anyone", but he accidentally hits Eddie with the snowball he threw. After this, Eddie cheers DK up, making DK remember that he is not the "bad guy" everyone had said he was. Earlier on in the episode, Candy also mentions Eddie as one of her guesses about who the villain was in the movie.

"Follow That Coconut"[edit]

In "Follow That Coconut", it is revealed that Cranky, Eddie, and Bluster once discussed a genius soccer play, and when Cranky forgets it just before the annual soccer match between the Kongs and the Kremlings, he visits Eddie. The yeti had also forgotten the play, as well, but when Cranky persists, he remembers that he had written the play down in a journal, which he then shows to Cranky.

"Vote of Kong-Fidence"[edit]

Eddie makes a minor appearance in "Vote of Kong-Fidence", where he is shown voting for the election of future ruler. During the episode, when Bluster is denied multiple votes, he becomes annoyed and thinks it is unfair that he is allowed to vote the same number of times as Eddie.

"It's a Wonderful Life"[edit]

Eddie makes another appearance in "It's a Wonderful Life." He appears only during Donkey Kong's dream, under the name "Eddie the Guardian Angel Yeti", after Donkey Kong wishes he does not want to exist. In Donkey Kong's dream, he shows him what life in Kongo Bongo Island is like without him in it.

"Message in a Bottle Show"[edit]

Eddie the Mean Old Yeti's final appearance in the series is in "Message in a Bottle Show". In this episode, he is invited to a banquet to remember the times with Donkey Kong. At the banquet, Eddie announces that he thinks Donkey Kong is "cool," and then shows flashbacks of them together.

Uho'uho Daishizen Gag: Donkey Kong[edit]

Eddie depicted with his bad temper

Eddie appears in both volumes of Uho'uho Daishizen Gag: Donkey Kong, where he plays two major roles.

In chapter 5 of the first volume, when Donkey Kong and Diddy are in the White Mountains searching for Candy, they encounter a yeti who attacks them, throwing Donkey Kong off a cliff. Just as he is about to attack Diddy, Eddie appears. The yeti claims that he is the real Eddie, causing the two to argue. Diddy puts them both to the test, but he is unable to identify the impostor, causing them to fight again. Diddy takes advantage of the situation and helps DK climb up. DK notices a protrusion on the yeti's back and, believing it to be a banana, bites it, only to find that it is General Klump's tail, revealing that the yeti was actually a robot controlled by King K. Rool. K. Rool orders the robot to launch a missile at DK, but Eddie catches it just in time and uses it to melt the frozen bananas, allowing DK to eat them and regain his strength. DK uses Klump as a bat and throws the missile at the robot, destroying it. Eddie takes the remaining bananas and thanks them both for their help, assuring them that his boss will not be mad at him. Diddy asks who his boss is, revealing that Candy Kong has been at Eddie's house all this time.

In episode 5 of volume 2, a heavy snowfall covers Kongo Bongo, destroying all the banana plantations on the island. Candy Kong suggests going to the White Mountains and asking Eddie to share his bananas with them. DK and Diddy head for the White Mountains, but they are spied on by Klump, who reports the situation to K. Rool. so he decides to get ahead of them by going through the mines. When DK and Diddy arrive at the mountain, they find Eddie unconscious on the ground. Although Diddy is concerned, DK thinks Eddie is taking a nap from eating too many bananas and decides to go into the cave, thinking he will find more bananas there. However, he is surprised by a giant snowball that chases them, crushing Eddie in the process. It is revealed that the giant snowball was Army Dillo, who attacks the duo while K. Rool, Klump, and Krusha takes Eddie as a hostage and demand that he reveal where he hides his bananas, but Eddie refuses to cooperate. K. Rool orders Army Dillo to attack them again. To defeat them, Eddie and DK hit their pecs, causing an avalanche that takes K. Rool and his minions away. In gratitude, Eddie shares his bananas with DK and Diddy.
