The Mario Kart 8 – Booster Course Pass (also referred to as the Mario Kart 8 – Booster Course Pack)[1] is a DLC expansion pack for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, announced during a Nintendo Direct held on February 9, 2022. The pack includes 48 additional remastered versions of courses from past Mario Kart games, including Mario Kart Tour. The tracks use their designs from Mario Kart Tour, with the exception of Coconut Mall and Shroom Ridge, which are currently absent from said game. The pack is set to be released in six waves by the end of 2023, beginning on March 18, 2022. The pack marks the longest gap between the game's original release and DLC for a Mario game, releasing nearly five years later. The pass will cost US$24.99, but can be played for free with an active Expansion Pack subscription for the Nintendo Switch Online service.[2]
