In 2008, James returned to the role of Bowser in Mario Kart Wii and also began to voice Dry Bowser starting with this game. Later that year Scott Burns - Bowser's previous voice actor - returned to voice the character in Mario Super Sluggers and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games.
