It is one of the two ATVs based on the Splatoon series, the other being the Splat Buggy. The vehicle is named and based on the Inkstrike weapon from the Splatoon series. It has two tanks of ink at the back, which have the same ink color as the Inkling being played as (purple if playing as anyone else), and features unique exhaust pipes that spray ink when getting a speed boost. It can be unlocked by collecting coins. Characters outside of the Inklings use the Purple Inkling Boy variation of the vehicle, with a ? Block featured in the vehicle.
