Bouncing Notes are giant black notes that only appear in Mario Kart 7, and Mario Kart 8.
History
Mario Kart 7
Bouncing Notes first appeared in Mario Kart 7, they only appear in Music Park they jump side to side and 3 metronome beats that are played just before they land from jumping. When they land on the ground they will briefly make a mini boost for the player to use, however if the player is under the Bouncing Note when they land they will get flattened, on the final lap they will continuously jump.
Mario Kart 8
Bouncing Notes reappear in Mario Kart 8 they once again only appear in Music Park this time however they squint when they land and they no longer jump shortly after they land, but on the final lap their behavior is faster along with the metronome. There are also smaller Bouncing Notes that appear as spectators bouncing in time with the music.
