Swing-n-Score is an Adobe Flash game published by LunchMakers in 2005 as part of a cross-promotion with Nintendo. The game and the overall promotion were themed after both Mario Tennis: Power Tour and Mario Superstar Baseball. The game is visually similar Bob-omb Derby.

Gameplay[edit]

Upon starting the game, the player is given the option to choose whether to play with a baseball bat or with a tennis racket. The only things that this choice changes are the positions of the Warp Pipe and the Chain Chomp on the field, and whether the field is covered in grass (if the player chooses to swing a bat) or red clay (if the player chooses to swing a racket). The player is given ten balls, which are shot out of a machine that is visually similar to F.L.U.D.D. To hit the balls, the player is to press the Space Bar to build power for their swing, and press the Space Bar again to swing their racket or bat. The player is to aim for the scoring zones on the field, which are displayed on a graphic at the back of the field. If the player lands within one of these scoring zones, they gain points. However, if the player misses the ball or if the ball goes out of bounds, they gain no points.

A Warp Pipe (referred to in the game's instructions as a "Warp-Pipe") and a Chain Chomp are present on the field. If the player is able to hit the former, they gain additional points, while hitting the latter causes the player to lose points. After the player hits all ten balls, they will be shown their score and given the option to play again.
