“But first, you'll need to destroy the Darkmess Dams to get those famous waters of Mt. Spout flowing again. To take them out, use those vials - you can get them from those containers. See you on the other side!”

Spout Forth is the second Darkmess Tentacle battle on Terra Flora in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. It is located inside Mt. Spout. In this battle, the heroes must destroy all three Darkmess Dams to win the battle. In order to do this, the heroes need to throw potions from cauldrons that will destroy them. After the battle, the heroes obtain a Purified Darkmess Energy Crystal, and the Spark Pulser joins the heroes on their adventure. Mt. Spout becomes active again, and the plants on Terra Flora are watered and refereshed.

Layout[edit]

There are three levels of elevation, with the heroes starting at the top, with various enemies scattered throughout the battlefield. There is a Darkmess Dam on all elevation levels. There is a dug path that the water will flow in, and before the Dams are destroyed, the heroes can access before the water shows up. There are Jump Panels throughout the channel. These get covered up when the water flows. The water will count as "Out of Bounds".

Highest elevation[edit]

The heroes start here, and there is a stream of water flowing in the middle of the ground. There is a cauldron on the left side, with 2 pipes; one leads to the next elevation, while the other helps to travel on the right side. There is high ground on the left, with a Lone Wolf atop of it. A Squashette is on the right side of the stream. A ramp on the right side connects to the lower elevation. A Darkmess Dam is in the middle.

Middle elevation[edit]

The middle elevation consists of a Squashette on the right side, along with a Depleter on the left, and high ground in the middle, where a Lone Wolf resides. The Darkmess Dam is on the left, close to the Depleter. There are three pipes, on that connects both sides across the water, one on the left side to lead to the lowest elevation, and another on the left; this pipe is blocked by Darkmess, which must be destroyed by using a potion. These smaller Darkmess do not need to be destroyed to win the battle. A cauldron is located on the right side, and a Jump Panel covered up by Darkmess is directly in the middle of the elevation. A ramp also connects to the lowest elevation on the right.

Lowest elevation[edit]

The lowest elevation has two Squashettes, a Depleter, and a Lone wolf. The Lone Wolf is on high ground. There is also a Jump Panel and a cauldron here. A pipe connects both sides across the water. The right side has a Squashette, a Depleter, and a Lone Wolf who is also on high ground. Darkmess covers up another Jump Panel, and the third Darkmess Dam is on the right side.

Battle[edit]

During the battle, Darkmess portals containing Squashettes and Depleters will appear. Two potions will appear from the cauldrons as long as there is room for them. If a potion is already there, there will not be any new ones. If both potions remain, none will appear next turn.
