Darkmess in the Cauldron is a Spark quest battle in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, located on the planet Terra Flora. It is part of the side-quest The Quest for Courage, in which Alkementor needs to create a courage potion for the Spark Toxicomet, but a Darkmess Thorn blocks the path. After it is cleansed, a Darkmess Puddle has taken over Alkementor's cauldron, which mist be stopped in this battle. The objective is to defeat all enemies. After the battle, the quest continues.

Layout[edit]

The battlefield consists of a big circular platform in the center, with pipes that connect to higher ground on across from each other. In the center of the battlefield, there is a giant cauldron that causes spheres of the Gust, Ooze, and Shock Super Effects to appear close to it, with only one of each available at a time. Heroes can pick these up and throw them at the enemies, which damages them, and causes the Super Effect in an explosion. Every turn, the cauldron will supply if they are gone. 2 Jump Panels are close to the right side of the center. Throughout the battlefield, there are several Medicians, Oozers, and Depleters. At the bottom, there are 2 Oozers, 2 Medicians, and a Depleter.

On the higher ground to the left, the pipe leads to a platform which contains a Jump Panel, allowing the heroes to reach to a bigger area, where another 2 Jump Panels are. At this area, there are 2 Depleters and a Medician. The right high ground has an area that contains 2 Jump Panels, 2 Medicians, a Depleter, and an Oozer. A pipe connecting to even higher ground contains a Depleter and a Jump Panel.

Battle[edit]

Being a "Defeat All" battle, no Darkmess portals appear. After all of the enemies are defeated, the battle is won.
