- “You ever fought Magikoopas before? Trust me, they're DANGEROUS. They can Empower any allies nearby with ease. AND they have a Wand that can dish out damage to multiple Heroes within a certain range. They'll keep appearing on the battlefield, but don't get discouraged - if you win, I get to join you!”
- —Gargantu-fan, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
Magikoopa Mayhem is a Darkmess Puddle battle in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, located on the planet Barrendale Mesa, specifically inside the Windmill area. It is part of the Main Quest It's an Ill Wind that Blows.
Magikoopas first Main Story appearance is from this battle, and they deal area damage with their projectiles, and increase the attack power of themselves and nearby allies around them. The heroes must survive for 6 turns to win the battle. After the battle is won, the Spark Gargantu-fan joins the heroes on their adventure.
The battlefield is of a medium size, with three points of high ground on the bottom left, middle right, and top left of the battlefield. All of these high ground points have a pipe and a ramp connected. The heroes start at the bottom right, close to a Jump Panel. Barrels containing the Shock Super Effect are scattered throughout the battlefield.
At the start of the battle, there are 4 Sea Stooges on the battlefield: 2 of them are on lower ground in the middle area, and the other two are on high ground. One of them is at the bottom left, with the other at the top left. There are 3 Magikoopas, one each on the three points of high ground. No Darkmess portal appears on the last turn.
Each turn after the first turn, indestructible Darkmess portals will appear, containing Sea Stooges, Oozers, and Magikoopas. These portals appear at the middle right, bottom left, and top left locations of the battlefield. After 6 turns have passed, and at least one hero is remaining, the battle is won. Gargantu-fan then joins the heroes on their adventure.
