They can only be moved by being shot by an Yoshi Egg. If they come into contact with anything when rolling, they explode and shoot out coins. Cactus Jacks appear in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, and Yoshi's New Island. They are named after politician John "Cactus Jack" Garner.[2]
