The Wonder form of Ludwig is a storm cloud-riding form that Ludwig takes using Bowser's Wonder power in Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park. He is fought in the Pipe-Rock Plateau level Ludwig's Showdown! He is also fought in Fierce Fight against Mighty Ludwig! and Fierce Fight While Small against Mighty Ludwig!, the latter where the player fights without taking damage. He is the only boss who is a form of one of the Koopalings to use his own boss battle theme. In this form, Ludwig resembles his regular form, even retaining his blue hair (with a more vibrant shade of blue), but with pink eyes and a black body, while wearing gray arm bands with bright green spikes and riding a storm cloud with a green gradient near the bottom that obscures his legs. His claws turn bright green, his shell becomes cyan with bright green spikes surrounded by gray rings, and his jaws and stomach take on a grayish-purple tinge. His lookalikes resemble gray versions of him.
Ludwig starts by releasing gusts of wind and striking lightning at the player from below. Afterwards, he will summon Downpour Clouds before using his finger to fire lightning at the player. The first deal of damage on Ludwig causes him to summon two lookalikes, and the second one causes him to summon four lookalikes. After taking the third deal of damage, Ludwig will summon four more lookalikes and the player must swim up the water from a Downpour Cloud to give chase as they pursue them. If the player reaches Ludwig, his lookalikes will merge with him, making him bigger (around 50% larger than his starting form), and he will start the next phase. Here, Ludwig will use groups of lightning to attack the player, with Cloud Lifts being required to damage him. He may rotate his thunderbolts during this phase, which forces the player to move around. If the player hits him while the thunderbolts are firing, they stop. If the player damages Ludwig six times, he will revert to his original form, and they will earn a Bellabel Flower.
