Crumble Blocks in Area 7-1

Crumble Blocks[1] are blocks that appear in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis and Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem!. They are made of small, loosely packed pale yellow-brown rocks. In Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, they are introduced in Room 2-7 of Tropical Island. In the Construction Zone, they can be used in the Tropical Island construction kit, Special Kit 1, Special Kit 2, and Special Kit 3.

A Crumble Block crumbles and breaks shortly after a Mini or an enemy walks over it. A Thwomp can also destroy Crumble Blocks by falling onto them. In Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, a single row of Crumble Blocks will stop a Thwomp's descent and cause it to rise back up.

In Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem!, Crumble Blocks are introduced in Area 3-2 of Teatime Twirl. They behave identically to their previous appearance; however, in this game, they can also be destroyed if a Mini slides into them from a steep slope, or if a Mini touches them after it is fired from a Cannon. Thwomps can also destroy Crumble Blocks; however, unlike in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, a Thwomp will break any Crumble Blocks in its path without stopping until it hits solid ground.

Similar blocks known as rocks appear in Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars; however, unlike Crumble Blocks, rocks do not crumble if a Mini walks over them, and can only be destroyed by Hammers, a Thwomp, or a Mini fired from a Cannon or a Cannon Kong.
