It appears to be the empty shell of a [[Chain Chomp]], though a localization mistake in the [[Super Nintendo Entertainment System|SNES]] version causes the description to specifically mention [[Chaindelier|Kinklink]]s instead. It acts as a weaker version of the Chain Chomp Bowser can recruit from [[Booster Tower]] by solving the [[Elder Key]] puzzle. To attack with it, Bowser swings it as a flail before throwing it at an enemy. The Fake Chomp,[1] originally known as the Chomp Shell, is a weapon for Bowser in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. It appears to be the empty shell of a Chain Chomp, though a localization mistake in the SNES version causes the description to specifically mention Kinklinks instead. It acts as a weaker version of the Chain Chomp Bowser can recruit from Booster Tower by solving the Elder Key puzzle. To attack with it, Bowser swings it as a flail before throwing it at an enemy.
