The suitcase is a special storage object in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and its remake Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions. Before Mario boards the Koopa Cruiser to visit the Beanbean Kingdom, Toadsworth rides on the suitcase and gives it to him. Throughout the game, Mario and Luigi keep their acquired items, badges, and clothes inside the suitcase, as well as their map and passports. In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, the added story Minion Quest: The Search for Bowser is accessed via the suitcase, unlocked once the player reaches Beanbean Fields for the first time. The suitcase also appears on the title screen, displaying whichever option is hovered over. After the suitcase's intrduction, the only times when it is visible on-screen are when Luigi checks if he has the Crabbie Grass from Guffawha Ruins after he is knocked out of his hypnosis in Little Fungitown and when Fawful steals the Beanstar from Luigi in Joke's End.
