Example how hidden blocks "sparkle" in the remake.
Hidden blocks in Beanbean Castle Town house "sparkling".

In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, Mario and Luigi can discover Hidden Blocks containing Hoo Beans throughout the Beanbean Kingdom. By jumping around at suspicious platforms or patterns, or in seemingly "empty" dead ends, the Mario Bros. can uncover invisible blocks containing single Hoo Beans. There are 42 Hidden Blocks in the game.

Like in the original, the Mushroom Kingdom, Koopa Cruiser, Stardust Fields, Hoohoo Mountain and Guffawha Ruins do not have any hidden blocks at all.

Even though the placement of the blocks is the same, there are two things that differ from the original game: If the Bros. stand near the place with the hidden blocks for long enough, their location is revealed by sparkling, although this process can be bypassed by the Secret Specs, which are obtained by blending five different drinks at Starbeans Cafe, which if equipped to either bro. will allow the player to see the invisible blocks in the form of a white outline (also how they will be presented in this list) and the listing of all blocks in the game (hidden included), feature which returns from Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam.

Hidden Block locations

Beanbean Fields

Beanbean Fields – 1 Hidden Block
From the eastern entrance to Beanbean Castle Town, the Mario Bros. should head south past the bridge into the next area, then immediately east until they find a long green platform that can be reached by High Jumping up it. Going east into the next area, the Bros. will find the edges of the platform blocked off by a cage, with the block in the middle. Location of the only hidden block in Beanbean Fields.

Beanbean Castle

Beanbean Castle – 8 Hidden Blocks
From Beanbean Castle Gate, the Mario Bros. should head west into the next screen with the building housing Warp Pipe. Luigi should hammer Mario from behind to make him small. As Small Mario, he should jump into the hole leading the next maze-like area. In the hedge maze, Mario should then go all the way east into a corner, then move north and follow the path until he approaches three paths going north. By taking the the immediate path, Mario should continue the path until he reaches another passageway into the castle itself. In this dead end room are five Hidden Blocks: two close to the wall and three to the front. Location of the first 5 hidden blocks in Beanbean Castle.
In the western area of Beanbean Castle Town, the Mario Bros. should enter the house in the southeast. There are three Hidden Blocks in the northwest, southwest and northeastern corners of the rug where a normal ? Block is. These blocks can only be obtained after clearing Chucklehuck Woods and before defeating Popple and Birdo in Teehee Valley, and as a result are not listed in the menu. Location of the last 3 hidden blocks in Beanbean Castle.

Chucklehuck Woods

Chucklehuck Woods – 5 Hidden Blocks
In the shaded area outside Mother Chuckalola, from the southern entrance, the Mario Bros. should take the eastern path until they come across a set of two Beanbean tiles. One is seen in the southwestern corner of the northern tile and another one is found north of the previous block. Location of the first 2 hidden blocks in Chucklehuck Woods.
In the same pathway, the Mario Bros. should continue north until they find a lone Beanbean tile with block above it. Location of the third hidden block in Chucklehuck Woods.

In the Generator Service Room, Luigi should hammer Mario from behind to make him small. As Small Mario, he should go through the hole in the southwest and climb up the steps then continue all the way north on a path that encompasses the entire room until he reaches the small red arrow leading him to the next area. Down the steps to the lowest ground in the seemingly "empty" room are four Hidden Blocks. Location of the second, third, fourth and fifth hidden blocks in Woohoo Hooniversity.
In the first room past the third shutter, from the first starry area, is a lone platform in the southwest. Location of the last hidden block in Woohoo Hooniversity.
