Great Force from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga Great Force from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions

The Great Force is a special equippable accessory item that is obtained from Starbeans Cafe in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and its remake. It is the fourth special item Mario and Luigi can get if they brewed a fourth unique coffee that has not been made before, after the Excite Spring. As with all Special Items, when the drink is made, Professor E. Gadd comes into the cafe to take a drink and leaves behind the item as a thanks. When a brother has the Great Force equipped, the damage he deals to enemies and receives from enemies is doubled.

The Great Force was originally called the Triforce, and Link would originally come to the Starbeans Cafe to gift the players rather than E. Gadd. While Link was replaced by E. Gadd and the item renamed to Great Force, the sprite was left intact. Though in the remake, the tune that plays when Mario gets the Great Force is the Item Get theme from The Legend of Zelda series, as a nod to the inspiration for the item. In the remake, the sprite is additionally redesigned to resemble the full Triforce rather than a single piece of it.
