Template:Item-infobox A Goomba Mask[1] is an item that appears Super Mario 3D World. The mask can be found after defeating certain Goombas, or in the right statue near a set of Chargin' Chucks in World 5-1. Like several objects in the game, the Goomba Mask is worn over the player's body.

Upon wearing it, Goombas, Galoombas and Mini Goombas do not recognize the player and will not attack, but other enemies like Koopa Troopas and Chargin' Chucks will still actively chase the player. Also, Spotlights do not react if the player is within sight. However, contact with enemies still causes damage, removing the mask. When the player jumps, the same sound effect plays as when a Goomba jumps. When the player crouch-walks while wearing the mask, the Goombas' walking sound is used. Power-ups cannot be used in this state, although Peach's float can still be used.
