In battle, a Glurp can attack by charging up and spewing out a toxic pink cloud which can [[poison (status effect)|poison]] the Mario Bros. It can also bite its target, lowering the brother's [[DEF-Down|defense]]. The former attack can be dodged by jumping; the latter attack can be countered by hammering. The bite attack may be similar to the [[Sworm]]'s, the only difference is a Glurp will move in a counter-clockwise direction when biting. When damaged, a Glurp may split into two Glurps, but they will both have the same total [[Heart Point|HP]].
