Firebrand and Thunderhand are two beings (described as genies[1] or guardian spirits[2]) that appear in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and its remake, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions. They inhabit the Fire and Thunder Palaces, and are the masters of two respective types of Hand Power; the Firebrand and the Thunderhand. Firebrand teaches Mario the former technique, while Thunderhand teaches Luigi the latter technique. They wear white cloaks and are capable of floating in the air.
