Description
A wheel that only Cat Mario can spin.
First appearance Super Mario 3D World (2013)
Latest appearance Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (2021)

A Cat Wheel[1] is a wheel with a cat paw icon that appears in Super Mario 3D World and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, similar to the Tail Wheels seen in Super Mario 3D Land. These wheels are first found in Mount Beanpole, and they can be spun only by Cat Mario via scratching it. When a Cat Wheel is spun, a number of things may happen, such as a platform rising or a secret area opening. Later, a Cat Wheel is used to collect the final Green Star in Chain-Link Charge.

In the Bowser's Fury campaign of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, Cat Wheels are used to extend rising pillars in the Lakeside and Wasteland regions, enabling Cat Mario to collect the "Climb to the Shine" and "Spin, Scramble, Shine" Cat Shines, respectively.
