- —Morton, Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park
The Wonder form of Morton is a marionette-like form that he takes using Bowser's Wonder power in Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park. He is fought in the Deep Magma Bog level Morton's Showdown! He is also fought in Fierce Fight against Mighty Morton! and Fierce Fight While Small against Mighty Morton!, the latter where the player fights without taking damage. Morton is indigo in color with a purple tongue, claws, and stars running along his arms, with his regular self's star birthmark around his left eye being red-orange. His teeth are replaced with light green tusks and his shell becomes dark purple with light green spikes surrounded by orange rings.
In this form, Morton is only damaged by the player who uses a handle from a string released by Lakitus to attack him in the background. Throughout each phase, he uses his fist to crush the player. The fist, however, can also send the player flying, enabling them to reach the handle more easily. The fist can cause at one or more Iron Blocks to rise from the lava as well; the fist can also break the Iron Blocks, however, but the impact on the ground causes them to bump vertically. After taking three deals of damage each, Morton will summon the Lakitus and uses his stomps to release Iron Blocks and a Spike Ball that destroys them. If the player deals nine deals of damage on him, Morton will revert to his original form, and they will earn a Bellabel Flower.
If Morton is confronted while the player equips the Invisibility badge while he is in this form, he complains that he cannot see anything, so he decides to squash everything.
Notes[edit]
- Due to his marionette form and large upward tusks, Mighty Morton strongly resembles Puppet Ganon, the penultimate boss of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.
