First appearance Yoshi's Story (1997)

Peepers,[1] also called Peeps,[2] are bird enemies that appear in Yoshi's Story. They are mostly found at the highest parts of levels. They appear in The Tall Tower and Frustration.

If a Yoshi eats one, it will give him an egg instead of healing him. When a Peeper is shot down, a puff of smoke will appear, and the Peeper will lose its feathers and fall away. If a Yoshi eats a Peeper when it loses its feathers, it will heal him back to full health.

Profiles and statistics

  • Shogakukan guide: 「料理してから食べると、おいし〜い!」[3](It's delicious if you eat it after cooking it!)
  • German guide: Wenn ich die Piep-Pieps mit einem Ei bewerfe, verwandeln sie sich in Quiek-Quieks und schmecken besser! [4](When I throw an egg at the Peepers, they turn into squeaks and taste better!)
