Melon Piranha Plants[1] are green variants of Piranha Plants resembling watermelons that appear in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. They are stationary enemies and attack by spitting seeds at the player(s), similar to Yoshis and Ukikis with watermelons in the Yoshi's Island series, that can be jumped on from above without taking damage. They appear in the levels Countdown to Drop Down, KO Arena Sunbaked Skirmish, Muncher Fields, and The Final-Final Test Badge Marathon.
Yoshis can also eat Melon Piranha Plants and spit the seeds like them, akin to the mechanic of watermelons in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.
