New Super Mario Bros. marks the first appearance of "Volcano Theme".
New Super Mario Bros. Wii[edit]

In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, the theme that plays in the volcano levels quotes "Volcano Theme" at the beginning of its sitar section. This arrangement would be reused in all later installments in the New Super Mario Bros. series.
