World 5-1 (Chapter 5-1 in Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic; titled This is a Matter of Life and Death–Jump![1]) is the first level of World 5 in Super Mario Bros. 2.
Layout[edit]
This level starts in the outside, but the rest of the stage takes place underground. There is an extremely long waterfall that can initially be passed through the falling wooden platforms, then by jumping from Trouter to Trouter with strict timings. This is the first level in the game where the fire-shooting Green Birdo is fought, though it appears gray in the original due to palette limitations.
