The Annual Mushroomland Fair is an event featured in the Super Mario Bros. comic "It's Always Fair Weather." It is held every year in the Mushroom Kingdom, and features several attractions typical of fairs, such as balloon rides, merry-go-rounds, and cooking contests. It also features an attraction called "Douse the Bowser," where Luigi, dressed in a King Koopa costume, sits on a chair as Mushroom People attempt to hit the target next to it, causing "King Koopa" to fall into a dunk tank. The real King Koopa, who spots the dunk tank in his helicopter, is insulted by this, and attempts to sabotage the fair by releasing a cyclone towards several balloonists, though this is foiled by Mario, who rescues the balloonists as Raccoon Mario, having eaten a Super Leaf displayed in the royal garden as part of the fair's flora show.
