The comic

"Family Album: Summer Camp" is a one-page comic from Super Mario Bros.: Mario's Special Powers in the Super Mario Bros. comics. The comic resembles a family photograph album, telling the story of Mario and Luigi while they were at summer camp.

Plot synopsis[edit]

As mentioned above, the comic is a series of photographs that tell the story of Mario and Luigi while they were at summer camp, with five captioned photographs. During summer camp, they stayed at Camp Fix-a-Leak. At the camp, they slept in their own bunk bed, made from two bathtubs connected by a pipeline, with Mario sleeping on the top bed while Luigi slept on the bottom. They enjoyed arts and crafts, especially plumbing, with Mario and Luigi constructing a plumbing system consisting of several water heaters and sinks. They also enjoyed "folklore," which consisted of activities such as Mario measuring the height of a water pump while Luigi stands to the side to take a photograph. However, their favorite activity at the camp was listening to horror stories around the campfire, with Mario and Luigi imagining a plumber drowning from a flood caused by leaking pipes.
