Green Noodle is an alien who appears in the German-exclusive Super Mario Bros. story "Besuch vom anderen Stern." He is described as being completely green, with only one eye on his forehead and what appears to be three long noodles protruding from his head, which function as TV antennas. He lives on the planet Scampione, which is located where the Milky Way and Wermut-Boulevard intersect. He is also presumably the owner of the spaceship appearing at the end of the story, having come to Mario Bros. Plumbing so that they can unclog the black hole back to Scampione.
History[edit]
Green Noodle first appears at the door of Mario Bros. Plumbing, where he asks if Mario and Luigi, who have opened the door for him, are the Mario Bros. Mario responds that they are the best in Brooklyn, before being surprised by the creature's appearance. He asks if the "noodles" on his head are antennas, to which Noodle nods in the affirmative, though mentions that, as there are still problems in the wiring, he has to carry them. He then continues by explaining that he can receive RTL every Sunday at noon.
Luigi tells Mario to stop speaking of pointless things and ask Green Noodle what he actually wants, and Mario, after briefly stumbling, asks for the creature's name. The creature responds that his name is Green Noodle, which Mario is impressed by, asking him to sit in the stove, explaining that he would pair nicely with a gorgonzola soufflé. However, Luigi tells him that he is not here to satisfy his appetite, before telling Noodle to take a seat. He then asks him what he and Mario can help him with.
The extraterrestrial explains that he is from Scampione, which he mentions is located where the Milky Way and Wermut-Boulevard intersects, which Mario comments that it must be somewhere in The Bronx. He continues by explaining that he needs to enter a black hole to return to his home planet, otherwise he will spend light years on the road and be completely moldy when he returns, explaining that nothing is worse than a moldy green noodle, which Luigi agrees with. He then explains that a black hole is similar to a dimension slide, where upon a fraction of minus seconds, he will be back home. However, he mentions that the black hole is clogged.
Mario, having misheard him and thinking that the black hole is mended, explains that Noodle needs to go to a tailor to unmend it, pointing to a nearby tailor three streets to the right. However, Luigi, corrects, explaining that the black hole is actually clogged. Mario, however, questions how they can unclog a black hole, which is a cosmological phenomenon. Green Noodle reminds that they are the best in Brooklyn, which Mario admits is true, though explains that they have no experience with black holes, mentioning that they cannot use a rubber vacuum cleaner to unclog it. Noodle urges Mario to give a try, explaining that he brought the black hole with him. He then places the black hole on the table.
Mario becomes upset when Green Noodle places the black hole on the table, but Luigi urges him to calm down, explaining that it is clogged, which Mario confirms by rubbing the surface of table where the hole lies with his hand. Noodle explains that it is completely impossible to enter the black hoel, and asks them to do something so he can go back home. Luigi comforts the creature, assurring him that they will do the best they can to unclog the black hole.
At that moment, the timer turns off the stove and turns on the TV. After commerical featuring an advertising housewife, the screen turns black. A voice then announces Black-Hole Free, which clears black holes, before the screen brightens, showing Scampione, with Green Noodle expressing delight on seeing his home planet on the TV. As Mario and Luigi take turns staring at the screen and Noodle, Noodle jumps into the TV, which results an implosion that results in the screen exploding. After Green Noodle disappears, Mario and Luigi decide to take his black hole, which is still on the table, as a plate coaster.
