World 1-1 is the first race of the Special Cup in Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit. This course follows a strict theme, patterning itself after the iconic World 1-1 from Super Mario Bros. in a variety of ways. The gates in this track appear to be structured out of flat Brick Blocks. Clouds from Super Mario Bros. appear at the top of the screen. Pixel Goombas appear between gates, stunning the driver if collided with, though they can be defeated with certain items. Coins also appear as pixelated. Collecting coins earns the player points, though this is merely aesthetic and serves no discernible purpose. The course icon depicts Mario in the Standard Kart, which is shown leaving pixelated dust behind, on a scenery resembling World 1-1 with the exact same appearance from Super Mario Bros. This race reuses the music from Mario Kart 8's 3DS Music Park for its theme, which would later be used in Music Broadway starting from version 2.0.

This is currently the only time when a location themed after World 1-1 has been featured in a Mario Kart title.

Gates[edit]

Half of the gates in this course continue with the prevalent theme with this level, depicting the logo on a Brick Block board. The other gates are structured with regular Warp Pipes dispensing Item Boxes at intervals.

  • Gate 1: No additional properties.
  • Gate 2: Has an Item Pipe.
  • Gate 3: Features a P Switch. Whenever active, the player may drive over it to activate it, causing a number of coins to appear for a short amount of time.
  • Gate 4: Has an Item Pipe.
