Ultra Stone
UltraStone PM.png The Ultra Stone from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
Description
"A stone. Use it to ultra-rank one of your party members."
First appearance Paper Mario (2000)
Latest appearance Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (2004)

The Ultra Stone is a Crystal Ball that appears in Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. In Paper Mario, it lets Mario's partners advance to the Ultra Rank when they hit a Super Block if they are already at Super Rank. Mario receives it from Raphael the Raven in Jade Jungle after making a pulley to Mt. Lavalava.

In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, it is in the possession of Merlon. However, he forgot about its existence and was only reminded of it by the Up Arrow which Mario can find in Hooktail Castle with Admiral Bobbery's help to enter a secret room. Upon bringing the Up Arrow to Merlon, he flies up to the attic and retrieves the Ultra Stone. With the Ultra Stone, Merlon is able to upgrade Mario's partners to Ultra Rank, for the usual three Shine Sprites.
