Description
"A jar at Little Mouser's Shop. A collector's item, perhaps?"
First appearance Paper Mario (2000)
“What ho! Buying goods in that order...is a secret sign! It was written in an ancient will! In keeping with the will, I'm required to give you this. Please take it!”
Little Mouser, Paper Mario

The Red Jar is a special item from Paper Mario. It can be obtained through doing one of Koopa Koot's favors.

Koopa Koot's final favor in the game is to get a Red Jar, which is said to be made in Dry Dry Outpost. Although this can be done once Mario accesses Dry Dry Outpost for the first time in Chapter 2, to get the jar, Mario has to go to Little Mouser's Shop and buy a Dusty Hammer, a Dried Pasta, another Dusty Hammer, and a Dried Shroom, in that exact order. Upon doing so, Little Mouser claims that buying those items in that order is part of an ancient will, and his part in fulfilling the will is giving Mario the Red Jar. However, upon giving the Red Jar to Koopa Koot, he is disappointed with it, claiming it is filthy, though he decides to keep it anyway. Doing this last favor will earn Mario 3 Star Pieces.
