Bump Attack is a badge in Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. In Paper Mario, it can be bought from Rip Cheato for sixty-four coins after having already bought two items from him, and in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, it is found in the Pit of 100 Trials, on the eightieth floor. If Mario equips it, any enemy that would only give one Star Point or fewer in battle is instantly defeated if they come into contact with him. Defeating an enemy this way gives no Star Points, though they still drop items such as coins and hearts. It overwrites other badges that involve contacting an enemy, such as Dizzy Attack or First Attack. In Paper Mario, it will never work against Amazy Dayzees or Dry Bones, as their levels are sufficiently higher than Mario’s max level such that they will always grant more than 1 Star Point. In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, it doesn't work against enemies in the Glitz Pit or the Pit of 100 Trials.[1]
