In a piece of pre-release footage, there are three Blue Twirler-like ghosts playing poker; though the cutscene itself isn't in the final game, they make a short cameo in the form of a screenshot in a texture in the scene when Mario is being turned back to normal.

A Blue Twirler in Luigi's Mansion.

A Blue Twirler occasionally appears in the Luigi's Mansion Court in the game Mario Power Tennis. They are also found in the Luigi's Mansion stadium in Mario Super Sluggers, where they stun fielders that run into the graves that the Blue Twirlers reside within.

Additionally, a Blue Twirler is exhibited among other members of the same species in a trophy that appears in both Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. In each one of them, the trophy can be unlocked at random.

Slammers from Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon behave similarly.
