“You did it, you did it! You've found all of my children. At last, I can be freed from K. Rool's spell. Ready children!! Sing along with me!”
Queen Banana Bird, Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble

The Queen Banana Bird,[1] or Banana Bird Queen,[2] is a giant multi-colored Banana Bird and the apparent mother of all Banana Birds.

During the events of Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! the Queen Banana Bird was sealed away by Baron K. Roolenstein early in his invasion of the Northern Kremisphere. After the queen's imprisonment, Roolenstein (through the use of KAOS) had the Kremling Krew capture and seal away a large number of Banana Birds, the only creatures who could free the queen. The Banana Birds that weren't captured scattered and took refuge with several members of the Brothers Bear family.

If Dixie and Kiddy Kong manage to free all the Banana Birds from their imprisonment in the Banana Bird Caves, and gain them from the Brothers Bear, the Kongs will be able to free the queen from the Evil Barrier that is imprisoning her. When all the Banana Birds have been collected, the Kongs must go to Wrinkly's Save Cave. The Banana Birds will then pick up the Kongs and take them to their mother.

When the Kongs bring the Banana Birds to the Queen Banana Bird, the birds will sing an enchanting song that will release their queen. As thanks for her release, the Queen Banana Bird will happily kick K. Roolenstein out of the Northern Kremisphere by chasing him down and dumping a giant egg on him.

In the Game Boy Advance remake of Donkey Kong Country 3, the task of releasing the Queen Banana Bird is made more difficult, as five more Banana Birds have been added to the game.
